Our client is a key player in the Fin-tech Space. They have built a trusted payment infrastructure that allows consumers and businesses to make and receive payments conveniently, and border less. They are currently looking to hire a Switching Operations Associate based in Lagos.


Job Summary
As a Switching Operations Associate, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all payout transactions through our different products get to their destination through the best available route, selecting from the variety of providers available. Simply put, when our customers initiate payments, we ensure the transaction gets to the provider and update the provider's response on our system. Also ensure our systems are up, to always serve this.

Job Responsibilities 
• Oversee and support payout and funds transfer processing operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Monitor transactions and ensure all rails are functioning optimally.
• Lead efforts to monitor transactions for signs of fraudulent activity, promptly escalating potential issues to the fraud team for investigation and resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer related issues and address escalations in line with relevant service level agreements (SLAs)
• Work closely with the Customer Experience (CX) and Technical Account Management (TAM) teams to investigate and resolve complaints related to payout through assigned resolution channels.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, including the creation of new processes, tracking progress, and updating stakeholders on enhancements.
• Oversee transaction reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Proactively identify strategic methods to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Work with all sub-teams to identify various touchpoints and design processes to optimize same.
• Continuous evaluation of current processes vis-à-vis best industry practices.

Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Minimum 3 year Post graduate experience
• Deep understanding of NIP/ other EFT reconciliations (this is very key)
• Understanding of the payment industry.
• Open-Mindedness and Result Oriented
• Ability to work with Microsoft suite.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify errors.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet set deadlines.
• Work goal-oriented based on minimum supervision
• High sense of responsibility, accountability, integrity, and ethical standards
