 Our client is a leading renewable energy firm in Africa. They are looking to hire a Project Execution Manager to be based in Lagos.

Job Overview
As a Project Execution Manager you will oversee the technical development, design, and installation of grid-connected and off-grid power systems and transmission and distribution systems. This requires high level technical knowledge, deep experience of power construction projects and management of contractors and excellence in health and safety, and more. We will also expect you to help lead the development stage engineering of projects, including leading technical site surveys and technical workstreams in feasibility studies, and provide
support to the operations teams as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and lead a department optimally designed to efficiently build large solar hybrid projects or large fleets of smaller solar and battery energy storage systems.
  
• Manage the technical development of projects, ensuring a high quality development engineering phase, with preparation of technical proposals, including assisting in design and writing the scope of work, management plans, work sequence, safety, quality control and commissioning.
  
• Develop project schedules, set timelines, assign cost and personnel to the schedule and provide budget forecasting.
  
• Manage the financial aspect of projects through budgeting and tracking project implementation expenses.
  
• Take overall responsibility for our pool of sub-contractor firms to ensure optimal pricing and excellence in delivery.
  
• Collaborate with senior management, Design & Engineering and Supply Chain teams on project execution, signing off on final construction designs with the company's technical director.
  
• Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for future improvement.
  
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work in a timely and professional manner.
  
• Ensure that quality standards are met.
  

Requirements and Qualifications

• Engineering background - degree or equivalent experience.
  
• Minimum of 10 years of management of large projects with DisCos, TelCo power, generation or C&I
  
• NEMSA Installation Category A certified.
  
• Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) membership.
  
• Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) registration.
  
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
  
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM), added advantage
