Our Client, a leading infrastructure consulting firm in Abuja, is looking to employ a Project Manager with specialization in highways and transportation engineering. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing infrastructure projects related to highways and transportation from initiation to completion. This includes developing project plans, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project delivery on time and within budget, and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in business development, including preparing technical and financial proposals to secure new work.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Monitor project progress, address issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Prepare project status reports and conduct project review meetings with clients and senior management.
Review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.
Ensure that projects meet quality and safety standards, with a focus on sustainability.
Lead the preparation of high-quality technical and financial proposals for infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with the business development team to identify strategic partnerships.
Contribute to marketing and promotional activities for the firm’s services.
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and maximize profitability.
Assist in contract negotiations and management of project contracts.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing highway and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Experience in business development, with a proven track record in preparing winning technical and financial proposals.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of local and international design standards, regulations, and best practices for infrastructure projects.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- PMP or other project management certification is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain client relationships and foster business development.
- Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
