Question for Apple Center Abuja

I just bought an airtel modem, installed it.. Registered the sim.. And paid for an Internet data plan, but After connecting.. I noticed that there is no transfer of Internet data going on.. And I can't even connect/browse the Internet. Does it have to do with the set up for a MacBook Pro 13...?
