Our Client, one of the leading law firms in Nigeria is looking to employ an Associate who will support the firm’s practices by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, conducting due diligence, and advising clients on a range of corporate and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate must have a strong interest in technology and innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other transactional documents.
Conduct comprehensive due diligence on client transactions and investment opportunities and identify potential legal risks.
Provide strategic legal advice on corporate transactions, including corporate governance, intellectual property, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
Author articles on relevant legal developments and contributing to the firm's thought leadership.
Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and best practices relevant to the firm’s practice areas.
Collaborate with team members to provide innovative legal solutions that align with client goals.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate/commercial law firm.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
Excellent drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills with a high attention to detail.
Demonstrated passion for the technology ecosystem, with a keen interest in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
Proficiency in legal research and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
