Our client, a leading law firm specializing in different practice areas, including Corporate and Commercial, Energy, Power, and Infrastructure, Finance and Capital Markets, Real Estate and Construction, e.t.c is seeking to hire someone who can identify business opportunities, manage key projects, build strategic partnerships, cultivate client relationships, and manage these  effectively to become a sustainable asset.

Job Responsibilities

A.  Business Valuations
• Responsible for using a variety of analytical, financial, and market strategies to provide an accurate value of a business that can be used for business sales, litigation support, and financial reporting among other purposes.
• Conduct business valuations for various purposes including succession planning, business sales, mergers and acquisitions, and estate planning.
• Assess financial implications and ROI potential
• Responsible for analyzing complex financial data quickly and accurately and providing actionable recommendations to clients based     on that analysis.

B.   Feasibility Studies
• Conduct thorough feasibility studies for proposed projects
• Keep up to date with the latest economic market trends, industry developments, and changes in regulations to ensure accurate valuations
• Assess financial implications and ROI potential
• Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies

C.   Market Research
• Collect and analyze data on market trends.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making, identify market trends, and improve competitiveness.

D.  Process Optimization
•  Proficiency in process improvement methodologies.
• Facilitate change management efforts by communicating proposed improvements, obtaining buy-in from stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation.
• Create strategic models to evaluate and monitor business performance to assist business owners in choosing and adopting the best alternatives for their business and to create financial models, forecasts, projections and budgets.
• Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.

Job Requirements

• A degree in business management, finance, or a related field.
• 6 - 7 years minimum of working in business advisory consulting.
• Knowledge of a few of the firm practice areas. Such knowledge must be practical and gained from working in an active environment (commercial law firm or financial advisory/consulting firm) advising on relevant commercial law issues in the areas of expertise.
• Experience with Big 4 or other consulting firms is an added advantage.
• The ability to do valuations is a must-have.
• Experience in risk-based due diligence, or implementation of internal control systems and investigation and audit is desirable

Competencies

• A sound understanding of economic trends 
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Be knowledgeable on valuation principles including discounted cash flow valuation – experience in purchase price allocation is a plus.
• Strong market analysis experience and knowledge of financial modelling, have a full suite of analytical skills and knowledge of complex financial and asset modelling.
• Financial Instruments Valuations
• Mortgage and Financing Appraisals
• Project Risk Monitoring
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical packages are essential.
• Business Development Skills
• Accounting background
