Job vacancy Fashion Merchandiser

Our Client, a leading fashion brand that specializes in luxury bridal, bespoke and ready-to-wear garments, is seeking to hire a Fashion Merchandiser. The ideal candidate must have a keen knowledge of the fashion industry and will be responsible for ensuring constant stock of fabrics and required materials are available for production.


Job Responsibilities:

• Source for the right fabrics and materials for production.
  
• Monitor and control fashion product costing.
  
• Implement a profit planning strategy for each collection and business unit, incorporating different profit parameters to achieve business and sales objectives.
  
• Keep regular records of inventory and track inventory usage against projection.
  
• Monitor and track material usage against projection and promote an analytic-driven process across the business units by engaging and utilizing the company’s software system.
  
• Identify and assess risks and opportunities against previously defined targets.
  
• Act as subject matter expert on inventory planning for the entire business; providing guidelines and recommendations for improved business performance.
  
• Going to fashion shows
  
• Researching and predicting fashion trends.
  
• Ensure markdown targets are met to maximize profitability.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of HND/B.Sc. degree.
  
• Proven experience in the fashion industry.
  
• Experience working with couture lines is an added advantage.
  
• Comprehensive understanding of fashion terminology.
  
• Assertiveness and thorough knowledge of the fashion industry.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
