In 2021, Founder and CEO Anita Asianya, along with Co-founder and Lead Engineer Blessing Asianya, embarked on the journey of establishing Away Home & Design. This endeavor was motivated by one of the most significant challenges faced in the Nigerian real estate market at that time: a sharp increase in land value, coupled with a concerning depreciation in the property’s physical structure due to a prevailing poor maintenance culture among the people. This situation was further exacerbated by a lack of incentive for investors to allocate capital for maintenance.

Recognizing these issues, they foresaw the necessity for a leader in the facility management and hospitable housing industry. They aimed to create a blue-chip company that thrives on stability, reliability, and sustainable growth, offering exceptional value and world-class services to both investors and stakeholders.
